Off the Shelf
Here's a few books that I read over & over- great for inspiration & ideas:

  • The Gentle Art of Quiltmaking, Jane Brocket. She uses beautiful fabrics and simple designs to create impact.{here's the link to her book}
  • Passionate Patchwork by Kaffe Fassett, one of his earlier books. Full of colourful patchwork, and unlike his more later books, the quilts in this one use many different types & ranges of fabrics. It's so full of ideas & classic designs, I feel like every time I browse thru' it, I find something I didn't notice last time.
  • Liberty Love, Alexia Marcelle Abegg. Heaps of ideas for using up those very precious bits of lovely Liberty fabrics.
  • Sunday Morning Quilts, Amanda Jean Nyberg & Cheyl Arkison. All about sorting, storing, & using every last bit of our treasured stash.
  • Adding Layers, Kathy Doughty. Explores in depth colour, design & imagination.
